Patient Safety from a Patient Perspective

After nearly losing her life as the result of an adverse medical event, Linda Kenney is committed to providing support for patients, family members and clinicians in cases of medically induced trauma. She also furthers education for those affected and increases awareness on this issue and its impact on patient safety. In this presentation, Kenney will create awareness about the emotional impact that medical errors can have on clinicians and patients and their families, introduce support models for emotional support of caregivers and will explore the presence or absence of support services that currently exist in organizations.
